NEW MARKDOWNS

(posted by pai)

How's everyone in the mid-Atlantic doing? I hope you have power so you can read this blog post. I'm sure cabin fever has set in and you're pretty much fed up of everyone you live with or chose to get snowed in. You probably thought it was a good idea to get together with your friends and get trapped somewhere together, but I'm going to venture a guess here and say that you guys drank all the beer, and now, after being in close proximity with one another for so long, you're not really liking them as much as you did on Friday. It's all fun and games until you get to the bottom of the bottle, no?

Personally, I'm a free bird. I have to be able to spread my wings. I hopped in my two door coupe and literally drove through a wall of snow to enjoy the freedom I am blessed with. It was all very Bruce Willis in Die Hard. I now know that the "L" on my shifter stands for "liberation" and "D" stands for "doesn't do shit."

This was me yesterday, except I was going faster and there was a huge explosion behind my car as I broke through the wall of snow. Really cool stuff, straight out of Project Bad Ass

Anyway, if you're on the verge of pulling out your hair, calm down, because we've got something for you to do, and that is click your way over to ShopFarinellis.com and check out the new markdowns! That's right fans, our awesome sale just got even awesomer, and spell check is telling me that's not a word, but I don't care, as I've already mentioned, I am a free bird.

You're probably wondering what I like, which is smart of you, I am an extremely fashionable guy and my opinion should carry a lot of weight. I really like the Wings + Horns Wool Nailhead Shirt, and at 40% off it's a real get for the frugal shopper.

Don't you think it would be wise to take advantage of this opportunity? We're in a recession, buddy. If you're a smart shopper, you'll hop on these new markdowns, and I know you're a smart shopper because you shop at Farinelli's. At the least you read our blog, which I write, and I am really smart, so hopefully that rubs off on you. So go, go, go! Shop our sale!

BLACK FRIDAY SALE INFO

(posted by pai)

Thanksgiving also means Black Friday shopping! This year at Farinelli's it's going to be absolutely gangbusters. We'll have men's and women's stuff on sale up to 40% off! The sale will also be online (all items will be marked down, so no coupon code necessary). Here's the rundown:

Love You Long Time

We here at Farinelli's won't just fall for any trend because everybody else says it's cool. Skinny jeans? Eh; they're okay. Why not try the boyfriend ones instead? Another ironic messaged graphic-print tee. Huh; I think everybody has those. Why not try a floral jersey one instead? But maxi dresses are a great option for just about everybody, and you don't have to look like a Rachel Zoe-bot if you style them the right way. Let me show you two of the best options we have in the store right now and tell you why they're so great... First up is the Ella Moss Tahiti Dress. How do I love this dress? Let me count the ways:

1.
It's fully lined from the shoulders to just above the calf-high slit on either side of the skirt. With so many maxi dresses - even though they practically skim the floor - you feel as if one strategically placed sunbeam will reveal your silhouette to all the world. Not the case here. 2. Wide straps that feature an adjustable back tie. Yeah, there are times when you can just throw something on sans brassiere and feel okay, but it's nice to be able to wear the support of your choosing and be secure in knowing that you won't be messing with your straps all day. Although the dress does feature a low v-neck, it's not so low as to be prohibitively incongruous with most gals' selection of underpinnings.

3.
The allover turquoise, steel blue and yellow print - combined with the empire waist - camouflages a any multitude of misgivings you might have about your bod. Passers-by will be virtually mesmerized by how beautiful you look, I promise! The dress is 50% cotton/50% modal and, if you mention this blog, you can come into the store and pick is up for HALF OFF it's sticker price of $220. I kid you not! So sweet... The second dress is a different take on the long dress, but equally stunning and perfect for a gal who wants to show off her curves. It's Pencey's Seamed Dress is yellow stripes. And before you run away screaming, "NO horizontal stripes for me," take a deep breath and check out how flattering the seaming detail and longer-in-the-back cut are. The faux-wrap v-neck and asymmetrical-width straps draw the eye up toward your collarbone, and the soft yellow and white combo is especially flattering to medium and darker skin tones. This dress is marked $340, but again, mention this blog in-store to receive half off!

And how to accessorize these dresses? Look for a great strappy flat sandal, especially one of the many gladiator styles that are hot right now (we like the Jodi Braided Flat from Frye, at righty). Steer clear of metallics with these two particular dresses, as the patterns provide enough visual interest; you don't want the shoes to compete. Go for a great neutral in light brown and add some dangly earrings for a perfectly polished look that's have everybody asking, where did she get that dress?
